Biodiversity Assessment Project in Cleopatra’s Needle Critical Habitat (CNCH), Puerto Princesa City, Palawan

Project Duration: 2018-2024

This project is implemented by a team of scientists from the National Institute of Biological Resources (NIBR), under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea, the College of Forestry and Natural Resources, UP Los Baños (CFNR-UPLB), and the Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR), in collaboration with the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD), and the Palawan City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City ENRO).

The project at CNCH aims to inventory and characterize species composition (flora, fauna, and fungi) in the area. It focuses on the assessment and documentation of existing biodiversity status, condition and distribution within the study area by means of biodiversity indices/parameters, photos, maps and reports.
