Academician, National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines.
Contributed to the Award of the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 was awarded jointly to Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) (of which J. M. Pulhin was one of the Lead authors in the IPCC Working Group II Contribution to the 4th Assessment Report) and former US Vice President Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change". The 2007 Nobel peace Prize was given by the Norwegian Nobel Committee on December 10, 2007, Oslo, Norway.
